Tech Apollo

Thought I'd have to sneak in with a keys to the game and a prediction...It's nights like these that make you nuts not still coaching, I've had a twinkle in my eye all day and it's just from knowing I was going to watch this game. Getting to coach in a game like this, in an atmosphere like this, those nights you never forget.

Keys for Apollo
1. Keep Wolters out of rhythym
2. Keep Hanks and Eurhle off the O Glass
3. Pound Bergstrasser inside, no Tech kid can handle him

Keys for Tech
1. Continue to make perimeter jump shots(not the night to go cold)
2. Defend Dre off the dribble
3. Control Mas and Berggy inside.

I think it's tight throughout, Apollo maybe jumps out early because they are at home, there will be a great pace and flow to this game, this is a prize fight, this isn't a small school welterweight matchup, this is for punchers and big boys only, This is Ali/Frazier. I am pretty jacked up, for this game, makes the day go very slow. I expect It to be 3 points or less at the half, and this time with 4 minutes to go Apollo makes a little run, and pulls ahead 6 or 8 and now Tech has to play from behind, which they do well, and close, but Apollo's up 2 with 30 seconds left, Wolters attacks and scores to tie it at 76, but there is still time on the clock, and a missed Apollo shot is cleaned up by Tim B and stuck back as the buzzer sounds. Apollo 78 Tech 76 in an instant classic.

Love the kids on both sides, and I think there is great mutual respect for their teamates and opponents, it's a shame they won't meet again in a section final, but maybe this is the year they both go to state...
