5 up

Talking boys only right now, but wanted to give some recognition to teams playing well.

5 UP

5. Melrose- Didn't have a great night last night, but fairly young team(leading scorer is a soph), and have been good up until last night.

4. ROCORI- 3-1 lost a tough game to Zimmerman at home. They have 1 senior starter, and are very talented, they beat Sauk Rapids last night by almost 30.

3. Zimmerman- Really off to a good start, watching them live, anyone can bring it up, score it, shoot it, and for the most part they play unselfishly.

2. Minnewaska- Big win vs. Morris last night, Bosek had 28. Tight game throughout, they are doing well.

1. LPGE- Who'd of thought they'd have gotten off to such a strong start, huge win last night. I am telling you Cody Warner will blow up this yr,

West Central North Preview

I am going to preview the WCN and also the CLC,CMC this season. I thought i'd start it off with the WCN today.

Albany- Kyle Lieser is an excellent shooter, and athlete. He will be asked to do a lot more this yr. I think he's up to the challenge, and I like his teamate Tony Harlander, just really think they've lost a lot to graduation the past few years, and I expect them to finish near the bottom of the conference.

Could be good if: Stars align, Lieser becomes a big time scorer, and defensively they can hold teams down.

Bad sign if: they get off to a slow start. Remember 3/4 years ago Albany was winning 1-2 games total per year.

LPGE- I love Cody Warner. After watching him in fall league, he's the kind of kid who could get to a juco, flourish and be a D2 kid in two years. He has some toughness, a chip, and he can stroke it. I also love Cody Sprenger, I think he loves the game, and brings energy to practice everyday. That is something that cant be faked, and can't be duplicated. Add in both Kingston brothers, and you have the makings of a team primed to challenge for a WCN crown.

Could be Good sign if: Warner starts off hot, and dominating, they accept their roles, and pecking order. They get the "Big Stops" they need to win close games.

Bad sign if: Still seems like a team that when things start to go bad, they don't rally around each other, and instead point fingers. This team isn't used to winning, and isn't used to being more talented than the teams they are playing, let's see how they handle this new role.

Melrose- I think they have some great guards in Sawyer(s), they are really going to like what they have in the two sophomores(I Sawyer, S Stone). VanBeck is a warrior, but do they have the size to compete night in and night out in that league? With Cordes leaving, Dusha is in my opinion now the best coach in that league, and he will get the max out of his players, and scheme well to help them. I just worry about them on the glass. Might have best underclassmen in the league.

Good Sign if: They play a similiar style to last seasons SCT team and let their guards play free, and they score a lot.

Bad sign if: they've played a handful of games and are getting killed on the backboards, and they have no one available to help.

Milaca- 3rd year for coach Leom. He's got two pretty good players in Kiel and Moorlag. Kiel is a scoring 1st PG who can really shoot the ball. Look for some D2s to be on him shortly, and stay on him, as he can play. Moorlag is a 6'7 post with good touch, range, and feel for the game. He's a little soft, and if he loses that he could be a dominant player in this league. They have the 1 and the 5(the two most important spots) now they need the middle to step up this year.

Good Sign: Early success is always good for a team who only won 5 games last yr.

Bad Sign: Box Scores with Moorlag/Kiel for 50 plus. No one else above 4.

Foley- Coming off a great postseason run the Falcons only return 2 regulars from last seasons lineup. Luckily one of them is Aaron Zimmer. On varsity most of his HS career, Zimmer has the opportunity to be a prolific scorer/rebounder/assist man this year, as undoubtedly the Falcon offense will demand he touch it almost everytime down the floor. Wenneberg is a nice player, although to me he's more of a SG, than a true PG. They have some good athletes in Knapek,Scherbing, Nelson, Brenny, Werdlow. I think there down fall could be pressure, and if someone presses them, it could be a long night.

Good Sign: You see some balance in those early season box scores, teams choose to play Zimmer 1 on 1.

Bad Sign: Early season losses mount. With games at Zimmerman and home against Maple Lake early, they could be 0-2 in section before Christmas. Let's be honest they can't afford an injury to Zimmer, as he's the most important guy to any team in the league.

Mora- Ulseth is a top 5 PG in the league, and there is always a sneaky Oslin on the floor somewhere. I like Kolberg/Nystadt, I think they make for a good tandem. That being said, they don't have a superstar or go to guy. I think that will hurt them, along with the fact that they play some pretty poor teams NC so their record is always a tad inflated. They are well coached, and have a nice home court advantage.

Good Sign: They open up late, and with Foley at home, if they can get that one the rest of their pre christmas schedule is pretty easy. They could get off to a hot start.

Bad sign: An early loss at Sauk Centre and it could be signs of a long yr for the Mustangs.

New London Spicer- Defending State title with only 2 regulars from arguably the best group of athletes every to come out of NLS(apologies to 1996) is going to be tough. I loved what they did in football rallying to a section title game, and "over achieving" Moten is the catalyst, he's the engine. If he plays up to his potential, NLS will have a shot to win the title again. Zylstra is an athletic freak, and Their sophs are really good.

Good Sign: New London also has balance in the scoring column with Moten and Zylstra not doing it all by themselves.

Bad Sign: a few close losses early, teams not used to handling adversity, having to handle it early, and under a new regime??? that's what could derail this tm.

Sauk Centre- Isaac Winters, and a couple of other bigs, but what else do they have? I really feel like lack of ball handling, and lack of post feeders make this a tough spot for Sauk. I think Winters is one of the best players in the league, and most coaches will try and take him away early and often.

Good Sign: They get off to a good start. defend their home court well, and rally to .500.

Bad sign: lose their 1st 5. Just not sure what they have to build around.

Cathedral- Best starting 5 in the league, well coached, usually SCC kids lack some toughness, Joe Burt doesn't. He will impose his will on his teamates, and force them to "play tough" I think with Burt/Bjorklund(a fearless athlete) in the back court, not only do they have the conferences best back court, they will have it again next yr. Rucks is their x factor. Keep him healthy he's a top 5 kid in the league, he will need his touches, and you worry that there won't be enough basketball to go around. I think SCC will be best with Burt playing some 1, but also playing without the ball in his hands, and running the floor and scoring in transition. Kid is a beast, He and Moten are 1 and 1a in the league. Can he get his teamates going early, and then takeover at the appropriate times? I wouldn't bet against him.

Good Sign: Rucks, Reisdorf, Bjorklund consistently hit 8-14 points. Joe stays in the low 20s.

Bad Sign: OVERCONFIDENCE. Hurt them last yr when they were upset in the playoffs. I know coach Miller is focused on not letting his boys "Believe the hype."

Predicted order of finish

1. SCC 13-3
2. NLS 12-4
3. LPGE 10-6
4. Foley 9-7
5. Melrose 8-8
6. Milaca 7-9

This is something I posted on Minnesotapreps.com in response to a thread started about possible BREAKOUT/SUPRISING players in the senior class.
Here are 10 guys I think will make a big impression this season. Some are Comets some are not. I'm not including Rollo since he was already mentioned, but I would agree he's right up there.

10. Shane Bosek 6'5 Minnewaska Area. Who's coming out of 6AA now that NLS lost 4 of 5 Starters, Staples all 5, Morris 4/5 and Albany 4/5? My guess is Minnewaska, and if they do, it'll be because SHane Bosek took "the Leap."
9. Joe Carpenter 6'5 STMA. Joe is the best unrecruited prospect in the state. Ryan James always tells me that as a quote. He is a HM athlete, and has a nice scoring touch. STMA is very well coached, and if Joe is playing well, they will be a tough out.
8. Kurt Moody 6'4 Pequot Lakes. Maybe he's less of a suprise, but in 8AA look for PL to be very tough and Kurt to be a big reason why. Leading scorer last yr in his conference, a conference that included Staples and Jordan Riewer.
7. Michael Idso 6'8 Rochester Mayo Size, some skill, equal a pretty nice season. Some D2 interest, will it be more with a good season? Of course!!!
6. Shane Hennen 6'2 Minneota. Minneota will contend in their section, and probably just fall short, losing to MACCRAY. Hennen will be a big reason why. Kid is solid, and can stroke it.
5. Adam Hjelter 6'1 Hutchinson MN. Was great at UA net gain Showcase, showed his ability to shoot the ball, easily winning the three pt contest against some solid shooters(Dearing, Watson, Marshall, Tyus, etc...)and can really make plays for others. Look for Hutch to possibly repeat as section champs, and Adam will be big reason why.
4. Bryan Sprang 6'3 Irondale. Not sure he counts, as a suprise, but I expect Sprang to have a huge year AGAIN!!!
3. Levi Abercrombie 6'1 Armstrong. How good was this kid this AAU season? His stock will rise, especially while Curtis remains unsigned. He's an NSIC kid easy to me.
2. Aaron Zimmer 6'6 Foley HS. You will never hear about him again, Foley won't probably get to .500 this season, but this kid can flat out score the basketball. He's got range, he can post you, and hes adept at going either way. Very Skilled. Sat the whole summer with a back injury, but he had 31 and 28 in two games against state champ NLS last season.
1. Kevin Kueffler 6'4 BBE. best 1A team no one knows about is BBE. Best player on BBE is Kueffler. Scoring power wing reminds me a lot of a kid I coached named Tyler Wruck who went on to play at Bemidji, not as physical as Tyler, but similiar skill set.

Recruiting tidbits

Columbia will be in to see Jayme Moten of NLS on Election day. Look for them to stop by SCC and check out a Joe Burt workout too.

U of M Crookston has begun recruiting former Comet target Shane Bosek. I know Coach Hanson has really pushed his recruitment with the local D2s. Shane is 6'5 and can fly. He has a chance.

Kurt Moody/Trevor Morlock continue to travel on visits, be it to Moorhead, Jamestown, Valley City, Crookston, Bemidji, Minot St. or wherever.

Look out for Wisconsin Stout in a central MN gym this winter. With targets like Bosek, Alex Erickson, Tony Saavedra, Aaron Zimmer, Derek Steve, Ben Thiry, etc. They will spend plenty of time traveling the WCN/CLC/CMC circuit.

Every year some central MN kids slide to being late signees, from Tim Bergstrasser(St. Cloud), to Zach Noreen(Bemidji), to Danny Kornbaum(UMD). Helps to have some size, but kids who belong in the NSIC, end up in the NSIC. If they are willing to accept a little less money, and a chance to work for more, if you belong in the NSIC, you will end up in the NSIC.

10 Central/North Central MN Kids I see making their way onto an NSIC roster include:(No particular order)

1. Alex Erickson- Morris
2. Kurt Moody- Pequot Lakes
3. Shane Bosek- Minnewaska
4. Trevor Morlock-Rogers
5. Aaron Zimmer-Foley
6. Kevin Kueffler-BBE
7. Mike Stephens- Big Lake
8. Jordan Reed-Wadena
9. Adam Hjelter- Hutchinson
10. Ian Nelson- Duluth East

Under Armour Net Gain Showcase!!!

All in all 60 kids took the courts at the UA NGS at Minnetonka HS last Saturday. Top 50 2013 National kids like Riley Dearing, and Bronson Koenig some of the highlights along with 2011 Illinois Commit Mychael Henry, and CJ Watson who has offers from many mid major plus schools(UAB/Tulsa/etc.). Lot's of talented kids from the Milwaukee area as well.

There were probably 20 D1 kids in the gym, and anytime you get to work with such highly talented individuals, you feel excited, and lucky to be a coach. The day flew by, and suddenly we were down to an optional game at the end, which turned into a WI/MN all Star game. "The MIL" guys were on their game early, Koenig who has a North Carolina offer and is totally worth the price of any HS game(Lacrosse Aquinas, HS) set the tone early, but Marcus Marshall(2012 Johnson), and Riley Dearing kept the game close enough, MN Down 10 at the half.. MN Was a little short handed as many of their top players had chosen to go home, but got a quiet but great contribution from Payton Dutcher (2012 Mayer Lutheran) with some rebounds and a stick back. 6 Minutes to go MN Goes with Dearing, Marshall, Former MN Comet Adam Hjelter(2011 Hutchinson), Ater Mynyang(2012 Roch Mayo) and Nate Kratch(2012 Watertown Mayer). These 5 play great team ball and cut a 13 point lead to 3 with under a minute to go, but can't close it out. Fun to watch the game, and a game I'm sure will be "REMATCHED" next yr at Showcase!!!

Great job by UA and Marquise Watts in putting this event on. I had a ton of fun just being part of the staff.

Registration can be found online at www.mncomets.com

Seth Hinrichs commits D1!!!

Seth Hinrichs (6'7 SF MACCRAY, HS) has commited to coach Fran O'Hanlon and the Lafayette Leopards. Seth Chose Lafayette over 11 NSIC division 2 offers, and Division 1 offers from Eastern Kentucky, Tx Pan American, and Montana.

Congrats to the whole Hinrichs family, and especially Seth. Seth is the best pure shooter in the state, and has "put in the work" to get where he has.

Email to College Coaches

We use the Comet Showcase to help the underrecruited, so I sent this email out to 50 college coaches, it's been refined and re done a couple of times, but this is what they received. We've had a great response to it. Let us know if we can be of any help. We only send out 2011 kids, because 2012 kids still all want to go D1, and so local colleges don't start recruiting them much.

MN Comets Staff

Coaches, Here is a list of 25 guys who I think helped themselves at the Comets Fall Exposure Classic. Played well, and on teams that had success. This isn't in any order, save for maybe the top 5, who I really felt distinguished themselves throughout the day.Any questions, don't hesitate to call or email. thanks, MN Comets
25. Luke Preiner 6'4 Tartan MN. Did so many intangible little things, he really kept people off guard defensively, and challenged his team to play hard all day.
24. Neil Helgeson 6'1 Kimball MN. Great potential D3 kid, smart, fundamental, and a good shooter.
23. Dave Anderson 6'7 Lester Prairie MN. Getting some small D2 looks, kid is well put together, and fundamentally sound. active on the glass, and a good athlete.
22. Ibrahim Abukar 5'10 Apollo,MN. Undersized combo guard can flat out score the basketball. Comes from a great program, and will quickly go over 1000 pts in his HS career. If scoring is a short fall, he is a guy I'd go after.
21. Anthony Saavedra 6'5 Big Lake, MN. Undersized post who really get's things done in the post. If this kid was 2 inches bigger he'd have multiple NSIC offers. kid is fundamental, skilled, and talented.
20. Eli Guptil 6'4 Anoka MN. Kid is athletic beyond belief, his skill set is developing daily, kid is really putting in the work to make himself a great college prospect.
19. Corey Hennen 6'2 Minneota MN. Shooter, kid can really stroke the ball. Came late and missed the drills, but showed up big in the games. One od if not the best shooter in the camp.
18. Matt Elliott 6'2 Grantsburg WI. This kid did all you could ask of him, he distributed, led, made open shots, and was a big part of his teams success during the day.
17. Dylan Moorlag 6'7 Milaca MN. Prototypical power forward, with some nice features to his game including his ability to stretch the defense with his jumper. Needs to get stronger, and play with a little more aggression.
16. Blake Ehley 6'2 Zimmerman, MN. Blake consistently got to and scored at the basket, he is very athletic and can finish in traffic. He really has a high basketball IQ and is only getting better.
15. Brandon Geise 6'1 Zimmerman, MN. All he does is make shots, one of the two or three best pull up jump shots in state. Quick/high release, great rhythym shooter. Has to get better on defensive end, but his ability to score is hard to find.
14. Mike Stephens 5'10 Big Lake MN. High ball pressure, really got after guys defensively. His offense is also coming along nicely, as he hit some perimeter shots, and got to the basket as well.
13. Isaac Winters 6'5 Sauk Centre MN. Tough kid to keep off the glass, really competed hard all day, can finish with either hand, and can guard multiple positions. really think he has some nice upside.
12. Shane Bosek 6'5 Minnewaska MN. 2 minutes left in the final game of the day, and Bosek goes down the lane and pokes on 2 defenders. Kid is the most athletic outstate kid in the state. He can stroke it too. Very under the radar kid, but he can play.
11. Nick Bobb 6'7 Lincoln. He is very good, better than I thought. I thought he rebounded, defended and played hard all day long. Scored sometimes at will with his back to the basket.
10. Cole Mortel 6'6 Luck WI. He could be a 2/3/4 depending on the league he ends up in. Plays hard, well coached, and led his team all day long.
9. Max Watts 6'3 Chaska. Kid competes, you see why Chaska is going to be so good, playing with two HM D1 kids, Max get's a little less publicity, but he can really play. Better athlete/defender than I remember.
8. Adam Hjelter 6'1 Hutchinson, MN. Consistently ran a solid Point all day, got his teamates involved, and also went and got his points when the oppotunity presented itself. Kid can flat out stroke the ball, and plays with a confidence and swagger, I love.
7. Drew Preiner 6'4 tartan, MN. Kid was everywhere, diving all over the floor and really playing hard. Impressed me with his skill set and leadership skills.
6. Mike Reisdorf 6'8 Cathedral, MN. This kis is a 29ACT and a 3.93. He's skinny, and not physical yet, but he's skilled and got a ton of rebounds and blocked a lot of shots. Great outlet passer. I'm not saying a D2 kid, but this kid has a lot of upside for aD3.
5. Travis Rollo 6'8 Mayer Lutheran, MN. Kid has put on 10-15 lbs of muscle, looks the part of an NSIC big man now. Very athletic, and skill set improves daily. He was really good all day long.
4. Rodney Pierce-Owens 6'2 Park Center,MN. One of the best athletes there, worked tirelessly on the glass, hit a couple perimeter jumpers and did good things all day long on D.
3. Ethan Petrill 6'2 Shakopee,MN. Showed once again he can stroke it from deep. Showed a commitment on the defensive end I hadn't seen. Looks leaner and healthier than I'd seen him in the summer. Could be a guy someone "steals" late.
2. Aaron Zimmer 6'5 Foley,MN. Before spraining his ankle he was all over the place on the glass, hitting 3's, scoring in the post, working the high low with Rollo. Skill Set is high, sneaky athletic as he had a couple of dunks in the half court too. just getting back to health from a summer off, someone is going to be very happy to get him next year.
1. Kurt Moody 6'4 Pequot Lakes, MN,- Just get's things done, plays harder than most. a prototypical power wing, he offensive rebounds well, scores well, and defends well. Overshadowed a little by playing with great bigs and shooters on his AAU team, he is a kid who I would get on sooner than later, because he will be ready to help someone sooner than later in his college career.

Congrats Comets girls coaches!!!

Two recent Comet Girls coaches have been named head coaches at Area high schools. Sascha Hansen takes over at St. Cloud Tech and Jessica Lewis takes over in Foley. I am married to one of them, so I will see more Foley games than I do Tech games. Both women take over programs that have are coming off losing seasons, but have traditionally been above average. Tech had a great run 2004-2008 the last half of that coming under the old coach. Foley has also been good in the past.

Great to see more women coaching girls, I think both women were great hires for their prospective schools. You hate to see long tenured coaches let go, but the times are changing, and both ADs did well to get this caliber of candidate so late in the hiring process.

Fall Exposure Thoughts

Here is 15 kids who I think really helped themselves last weekend. This was an email sent out to college coaches who attended, and some who didn't attend the Comets Fall Exposure Showcase. This is all 2011 kids. The 2012/2013 fields were loaded though.

15. Brandon Geise 6'1 Zimmerman, MN. All he does is make shots, one of the two or three best pull up jump shots in state. Quick/high release, great rhythym shooter. Has to get better on defensive end, but his ability to score is hard to find.

Recruiting Advice we give to our players!!!

1. No matter who they are, and at what level, call every coach who calls you back!

2. Don't "Chase" offers. We are not in the "COLLECTING BUSINESS." There is no race to see how many you can get, it's about finding a great FIT for you to spend the next 4/5 years of your life. Build relationships with all the staffs recruiting you!

3. Be yourself, don't tell coaches what you think they want to hear, tell them what you think. If at any point a college is out of the running, they are owed a call, and thank them for their time/effort.

4. If you are a D3 kid, be happy being a D3 kid. The level of basketball played in the UMAC/WIAC/MIAC is very very good. Same for a D2 kid. Don't chase scholarship offers that aren't coming.

5. Work every single day on becoming a better son, brother, friend, student, and basketball player. Being well rounded makes you more recruitable, and makes you much more fun to coach!!!

- Look for Kurt Moody, Trevor Morlock(Coming off a great academic camp in Chicago, where he was said to have played really well) to be offered soon by some NSIC schools.

- Lot's of D1 calls into the Comets coaches, no offers as of yet, but Seth Hinrichs was great in Sioux Falls, and Drake, Idaho took notice amongst others.

- The Big Lake boys job is open, I know someone from our Comet family who'd do a great job there.

Updates

The open evaluation period opened up in July at the Next level Invite, in Milwaukee Wisconsin(In the suburb of Mequon). Great event and the Comets came out well from the get go. Comets Elite 16 Stock went 2-1 in pool play and narrowly lost their bracket game by 3. Comets Elite 16 Lewis survived the Pool of Death and went 1-2 and played Howard Pulley White in bracket play, and won, before falling to Tyus Jones, Tyler Vaughan, and the rest of Howard Pulley Blue.

Seventeens had Comets Seevers win a bracket game and lose a close one to Pulley White, and then Comets Hanson win their pool and lose to Kingdom Hoops out of Iowa. The best part was all of the recruiting attention that all of our guys are getting from D1's to D3's and everywhere in between.

Couple notes

My team lost 3 games, one to the champs, one each to the other two semifinalists. WOW.

Look for E Kentucky and Vermont to stay hot and heavy on Seth Hinrichs.

Sioux Falls

We had a rough weekend in Sioux Falls. I went 1-3 and took more losses in one 24 hour span than we previously had all year. We rebounded and played well in our last two, winning one by 20 and then losing to a really good 17U Fury Gold team(Which made the semis) by a basket. I think it taught us about playing against older competition, and how to execute better.

Our Top 17s won their pool 3-0 easily and then flattened out and lost in the qtrs by 6 to a very beatable team. They should of probably won the whole thing but for sure they should have won that game.

Our 2nd 17s and our top girls teams were the hard luck losers of the day both going 1-3 and both losing on last second shots and in OT.

We send our top 2 16s and 17s to MILWAUKEE JULY 6-9. The schedule can be found at ny2lasports.com

A little bit of everything

Six quick notes

1. Congratulations to Jake and Janel Sullivan n the adoption of their son Samuel.

2. Good Luck to our girls teams at SUMMER JAM and Comets Elite Stock at Minnesota Showcase Mankato this weekend.

3. Congrats to a former player of mine Bronson Koenig of Lacrosse Aquinas HS. He is going to be a sophomore and just picked up an offer from coach Ryan and the University of Wisconsin.

4. Jordan Riewer picked up a Scholarship offer from Moorhead State and so did Scott Nystrom. It will be interesting to see if one or either decide to go there .

5. If they do that will be 13 of the 19 guys in our ELITE 17u program playing scholarship basketball of some sort . That is amazing, and something coach Hanson and Seevers should be pleased about.

6. Two standouts at Bemidji Elite camp yesterday were Mayer Lutherans Travis Rollo and New Londons Jayme Moten. Neither will lack for scholarship offers soon.

Expanded now that there is some time

We did win state d1. We were seeded #1 so we were expected to do well, but anything can happen and we could've lost in both the quarters or semis. We didn't play rhythym offense, and really forced a lot of looks. We also settled if we didn't force and took a ton of contested long jump shots. Made for some heart pounding sequences along the way. These kids are winners though, and that is a huge part of it, they take the floor expecting to beat you.

My roster is

Scottie Rucks 6'5 Cathedral
Zach Gabbard 6'0 Perham
Damien Reinke 6'6 Becker
Jimmy Unger 6'2 Willmar
Kevin Heysse 6'6 Tech
Nate Meyer 6'4 ROCORI
Austin Pohlen 6'0 Grand Rapids
Joe Burt 6'1 Cathedral
Caleb Jansen 6'4 Pierz
Mike Spoden 6'8 Grand Rapids

I'm BAAACCK!!!

I am expecting to have an exciting summer and so I want to let everyone know that at least weekly, I will be blogging again.

Running an AAU program is a lot of work, and Sunday nights/Monday mornings can be stressful with parents emails, and such. It is however something I love to do and am excited about continuing.

Very proud of how most of our girls seasons ended up, and the ones that are still playing are also having great seasons. We won two classic state championships at 14U and 15U and our 13s were really strong all year. The younger levels, we are really building strong teams, and I like that.

On our boys side we are really rolling and expanding on what we have been building the past four years since we really started to have a say in the direction of the organization. I am excited about planning a golf outing and also our Fall exposure, and also excited about coaching my team(16U) going forward.

I really respect the Jake Sullivan's, Willie Vang's, Ben Davis's of the world who coach their top team and also run the program. I am really thinking of getting out of the coaching aspect, but I am loving my team right now, and the challenges of building a great 16s next year might be too fun to pass up. I know how much work those guys put in, and also put their heart and sole into coaching. Jake and I have young children, so it makes it even more work. I am really lucky Josh Hanson does such an amazing job with our 17s so I don't have to coach them, and deal with 100 percent of the recruiting as well.

Fun weekend, boys state tourney, two girls teams in Sioux Falls. Lot's to report next week.
